Smudging 101: How To Cleanse Your Energy with Sage & Palo Santo
Smudging is one of my favorite tools for feeling grounded, positive, calm, and creative.
In this video, I share more about what exactly smudging is and how you may want to implement it into your own life. I also talk about the difference between sage and palo santo, which are the two most commonly burned plants used for smudging.
You may want to try smudging anytime you want to clear negative energy from yourself or your environment. This could be after an argument or anytime you feel down, overly stressed, or overwhelmed. Smudging is great for new beginnings, so you may want to try it after a breakup, before starting a new job, or beginning any new project that is important to you. I personally love to burn sage or palo santo before engaging in creative work, and I also like to do it before journaling and/or meditating, or anytime I am feeling like I need some extra support or grounding.
Have you ever tried burning sage or palo santo? I’d love to hear about your experiences in the comments.
Our smudge kit includes sage and palo santo, a smudging feather, and a selenite crystal, which is the most powerful crystal for cleansing.
