Simple Table Decor for Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a holiday that is first and foremost about the food – and connecting to friends and family. For that reason I tend to keep decor pretty simple, or may even skip it altogether! However, if you do find yourself with the time to dress up the table a bit, here are a few ideas to create an elegant, modern look and while still keeping it totally simple.
Don’t miss our DIY floral arrangement tutorial if you want to take this one step further, and of course, our shortcut apple pie.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Break a larger bouquet into small arrangements for the dining table. Use larger arrangements near a bar, entryway, or other common area.
Place inexpensive greenery casually down the center of the table along with a few mini gourds and pumpkins. Add a few conversation-friendly bud vases filled with seasonal flowers to add a pop of color.
Candles are always a good idea. Use white, unscented candles in a mix of shapes and sizes. Don’t be afraid to mix and match your candleholders, too.
Simple white plates allow the food to shine. Modern black flatware and copper chargers create a festive look that can be used all year long. Neutral linen napkins (with festive gold stitching!) are a must.
